Area Tourism. From June to August the very popular annual 'Sardine
Run' takes place - great excitement in scooping up these little
fish as they beach, or just watching the amazing bird life that
dip and dive after the catch. The famous Aliwal Shoal, a
short distance south, provides an exceptional diving paradise.

The town is renowned for its safe, scenic beaches. Inyoni Rock and
Pipeline Beach are much frequented by sun-loving holiday makers.
Dick King Homestead
The local traffic department have their auspicious headquaters in
the fully restored homestead of one of the province's most enduring
icons.
Ilanda Wilds
The self-guided Loerie, Mpiti and Mongoose trails start near the
town centre and visit the preserved riverbank area. Picnic and barbeques
permitted.
