Wild Rivers gets it's name from the fact that 2 mighty rivers are joining within this 2 600 ha private nature reserve, namely the Olifants and Blyde River. The reserve promotes low density with only 32 1 ha stands which all touch onto the river which meanders through the reserve over a total length of 8 kilometer. All stands are ideally situated to ensure maximum privacy and secluded bushveld living.
The reserve is well stocked with game including among others, impala, kudu, waterbuck, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, nyala, warthog, bushbuck, leopard, baboon, bush pig, hippo, crocodile and some smaller cat species. There is also an abundance of birdlife including the very special Pel's fishing owl, trumpeter hornbill, African fin foot, hooded vulture and many other smaller surprises to serious birders.
Home owners are all members/shareholders of the Home Owners Association, a section 21 company who owns the remainder of the land. The reserve is managed by a full time reserve manager and his team. Wild Rivers is located an easy 10 kilometers out
side of Hoedspruit (approximately 4,5 hours from Johannesburg and 45 minutes from the Kruger National Park).
