Northern Pretoria is a quiet suburb that lies nestled virtually in the foothills of the Magaliesberg. Almost in a world of its own, with its subtropical climate. The smallholdings that made up the area have been transformed into a lively neighbourhood with hospitals, shopping centres, restaurants and coffee shops.
The Greater Pretoria region of Gauteng includes the towns Centurion, Cullinan and Bronkhorstspruit, Pretoria and Bapsfontein and all their surrounding areas. All of the aforementioned towns, each of which used to be a separate municipality, have been incorporated into the new Tshwane District Municipality. Greater Pretoria is situated in the Bushveld. It starts approximately halfway between Johannesburg and Pretoria and extends some 70 kilometres both East and West of the latter. Pretoria is South Africa's administrative capital and offers real estate and property investors an assortment of real estate and properties to choose from. These properties range from flats, apartments, townhouses and homes in security villages and complexes to spacious homes and grand ambassadorial residences.
