Onverwacht / Die Bos Suburb Information : General : The residential area Die Bos was originally the farm Onverwacht which was sold off in 1990 for residential development and renamed Die Bos. This suburb is conveniently close (2kms) to the beach and all major routes via its southern border – Broadway Boulevard. Its northern border is the future N2 toll road, its Western border the railway line & its eastern border the new Checkers Shopping Center on Broadway Boulevard. The biggest property growth points as of late has been the choice of new developments on Beach Road which is springing up - raising comparatives with Monte Carlo. Limitation on development ground bodes well in the long term for any property investment in the Strand.
