A change to own one of Heidelberg’s historical buildings. Built in 1896 as the new Standard Bank building in Heidelberg. Standard Bank occupied this building till 1993 when they decided to move to a new building and sold it. One of the tenants that occupied the bottom part of the two story building was an antique shop who rented for 20 years and recently moved out. The top part is occupied by the Sherriff who are still in the building. The beautiful wooden doors and door frames add indescribable value to this piece of history. Remove the carpets and strip the paint of the wooden ceilings and it can almost be restored to its old self. The safes that held a lot of money (even hand written money when there were a shortage of printed money), documents and files from the good old day’s still forms part of this old masterpiece. At the back there is a walk in safe that was built in later years as business has grown. There are no shortage of office space and each office has its own fire place. The location of this property is in central town and a lot of feet and traffic pass by every day. Do not delay give me a call today.
