South Africa: Locals Go Home Shopping in Mauritius

MOST of the sales of units in a new Mauritian development called Anahita went to people from SA and the UK.

Playground Real Estate Sales SA, the sales and marketing agent for the integrated resort scheme development on the east coast of Mauritius, said that there was a 100% sellout of its first phase in six hours.

The group said the success followed a marketing campaign in London, Paris and Johannesburg.

The first phase, L'Adamante, consists of 70 luxury waterfront residences next to a clubhouse with restaurants, bars, tennis and squash courts, a fitness centre, swimming pool and beach.

The average selling price has been about $850000.
