As
I look back over the past year and view the devastation
caused by what has been dubbed the worst global economic
meltdown since 1929. I feel most grateful that our team
has weathered the storm and that we have emerged from
it stronger, leaner and fitter. The strong character
together with the skills and knowledge of the Chas Everitt
Management together with our agents who are the lifeblood
of our organisation, have delivered immense value to
our sellers and our purchasers of property during these
trying times.
The green shoots of recovery and new waves of opportunity
are starting to grab the attention of the savvy cash
flush property investors. This has reflected in a 70%
increase in sales turnover for the last quarter of 2009
versus the same period in 2008. The official GDP growth
figures confirm for the first time that the recession
is now finally over.
As 2010 closes in, this positive news toppled with
the excitement relating to the Soccer World Cup which
is manifested by the stadiums of dreams we are seeing
around the country. This momentous opportunity of marketing
ourselves on the world stage as a world class tourist
destination will offer our economy and in turn our nation
much needed job creation and will benefit Africa's image
in the eyes of the world and which will be enjoyed for
years to come . This is also a milestone year for our
Group who enjoys a thirtieth birthday in June.
Our Company is in great shape and we are poised to
leverage the tremendous service orientated, creative
and entrepreneurial spirit of our people to increase
our footprint in the areas where our franchises are
established and also to grow our footprint around the
country where we are not yet. Our superior human capital
and phenomenal business systems which offer a world
first will ensure we remain the leaders in this space.
Our growth this coming year will be exponential and
our customers will benefit from being able to interact
in a collaborative manner within our business environments
to ensure a custom made real estate experience.
We look forward to serving all our past, present and
future customers in an approachable, non threatening
manner. Our knowledgeable, well trained and skilled
sales associates look forward to dazzling you with a
real estate experience that will keep you and your friends
and family coming back for more.
I wish all the stakeholders in our industry a safe
festive season and a tremendous 2010. I want to thank
our customers for their ongoing support and positive
feedback over the past year which has helped build an
even better customer orientated philosophy. . A special
thank you to all our staff and our sales teams who have
worked tirelessly to ensure we are ready to deliver
what I believe will be the difference between the Chas
Everitt real estate experience and the rest of the industry
.
Warmest property regards
Berry Everitt
