As we watch the news, it seems that missing children occur more often than we as a community would like. Despite the South African Police Service having one of the world's highest success rates when it comes to finding missing children, it seems we are losing this fight.

The eThekwini Municipality has not released any preliminary estimates on the extent of storm damage to municipal property yet, but the KwaZulu-Natal government said damage to roads, beaches and other government infrastructure on the South Coast alone was expected to cost at least R500-million to repair...

Companies wanting to lease the 16th storey penthouse suite of Cape Town's Convention Tower will have to fork out R200 per m2 for 1 200m2 of office space.

Located next to the Cape Town International Convention Centre, it will soon be the most expensive office space in the country.

"We expect a multinational conglomerate will take this space and have already had various enquiries, including several from the UK," said Darren Wilder, leasing director of Madison Property Fund Managers...

A schlep, but showhouses do work, say agents

Cleaning up, corralling the kids and pets, and moving out for the day may be a huge schlep, but if sellers are serious about selling then the Sunday showhouse route is the way to go, according to estate agents.

Not that it’s likely to sell the first showday - very few do on market debut – but the chances of offers to purchase filtering through by midweek are usually pretty good, if the price is right and the property is in a marketable condition...

Up until now agencies had to contact us whereby we had to develop web pages to accommodate these new developments at a cost. These developments were also only available on the agencies website only and not on all linked websites (www.cyberprop.com, www.ananziproperty.co.za, www.real-estate-south-africa.com, www.cellproperty.com and www.sundaytimesproperty.com).

This module will enable agencies to add the following information about each and every development:

  • Location information (Province, City and Suburb)

  • Main note / write-up on the development

  • Status of the development

  • Meta keywords for search engine optimization

  • Main picture

  • A picture of the site plan

  • Building specifications

  • Progress reports including pictures

  • Units
