The Reserve Bank's deputy research head, Johan van den Heever, announced this week that the Reserve Bank may lower its inflation forecasts. This comes as a result as figures points to an improved outlook.

The South African employees report show signs of an expected increase in staffing levels. This means that the number of employers planning to take on more staff exceeds the percentage who plan to reduce staffing levels.

Can these two encouraging factors have a positive input on the housing sector in months to come?
