New York - New York property tycoon Donald Trump on Wednesday unveiled his design for "bigger, stronger and better" twin towers to replace the World Trade Centre originals that were destroyed on September 11, 2001. Denouncing the existing plans for rebuilding Ground Zero as "the worst pile of crap architecture I've ever seen", Trump argued that erecting two new, even taller twin towers was the only valid response to the terrorists. |

PLETT HISTORY - JOACHIN VAN PLETTENBERG In 1778, the governor of the colony, Joachin van Plettenberg made his historic journey to Plettenberg Bay. He left the Cape in a carriage drawn by 8 horses. There was also a second coach and 5 other wagons. With him on the first part of the journey was Captain Robert Jacob Gordon. In November, the party visited Melkhout Kraal, which at that time belonged to Stephanus Esais Terblanche. Botha's farm was reached on the evening of the 5 November 1778. On the 6 th of November the historic demarcation stone, known as Van Plettenberg's Beacon, was erected. The original stone has been removed to the Cultural History Museum in Cape Town and a replica now stands on the original site overlooking the bay. It was also during this time that Plettenberg Bay received it's present day name.
