Dear reader,

Axed deputy president Jacob Zuma has asked the state to pay the legal costs of his corruption trial, the Beeld newspaper reported. This while the Housing Minister Lindiwe Sisulu said that RAPID urbanisation was causing the demand for housing to grow faster than the government could deliver it. "At this rate we are not going to get very far. We have a serious problem," she told the Black Management Forum (BMF)in Johannesburg.

"Our insecurities and drive for the basics of shelter and home pressure us into wanting to buy before we sell our existing home but this can be detrimental to your buying process". From Dave's desk this week in The Property Game - Reasons to sell before you buy.

Paarl has a rich history of more than 300 years. It is a town full of historical sites and is the heart of Afrikaans, with the Afrikaans Language Monument and Museum. The Paarl Wine Route is also called the 'Red Route' for its legendary red wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, port and Shiraz wines have established Paarl's place on the global wine map and the region has repeatedly received international awards for these wines. Focus on Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa

Bathrooms used to be the smallest and the most functional rooms in the house. Today bathrooms are getting bigger, and increasingly treated as sanctuaries from the rigors of modern life. Bathrooms are not just about being clean it is a whole-of-life concept. Take a look at Have Fun

>> Here comes the Free State!

Vrystaaaaaaaaaat!

The Free State area has been highlighted by real estate group, Pam Golding Properties, as a growth area in terms of the property market as well as increasing their market share.

Comments Dr Andrew Golding, CE of the PGP group: "Property values in these areas continue to increase due to the demand, and there is an ongoing surge of interest in the leisure and lifestyle second home market in areas such as Clarens, Fouriesburg, Parys and Denysville. Clarens anticipates the launch of a residential golf estate, which will further entrench the appeal of this extremely scenic mountain retreat."

>> Purple house on Signal Hill slopes has Bo Kaap residents seeing red

A new three-storey house painted bright purple high on the slopes of Signal Hill in the Bo Kaap has caused outrage, with local residents dubbing it an eyesore and "un-Bo Kaap".

The house is clearly visible from the city centre and critics say it stands out like a sore thumb - a very bright sore thumb - on the hillside. But others love it and said the house had made the area attractive with a number of people, including foreign visitors, having noticed and visited it since it was completed about a month ago...

>> Housing demand growing faster than delivery

RAPID urbanisation was causing the demand for housing to grow faster than the government could deliver it, Housing Minister Lindiwe Sisulu said on Friday.

"At this rate we are not going to get very far. We have a serious problem," she told the Black Management Forum (BMF)in Johannesburg.

Of South Africa’s 2,4 million informal households, only 800,000 were on the government’s waiting list, she said...

"I was made aware of this amazing package that CyberAgent was about to launch by your consultant Chris, being quite familiar with the professional network edition I wanted to know more. Our principal and myself signed for the mobile edition as soon as we returned from the Cape Town launch which I found very informative in itself.

My hottest property at this stage was used as the featured property and with the help of my PDA and CyberAgent Mobile I was able to market not only that property but all my other properties with impressive professionalism. The cost in setting up with the Mobile Edition becomes insignificant to the time this system has saved me. My PDA has assisted me in concluding 3 successful sales in the last month. I would at this stage also like to commend your back-up and technical staff for the professional manner in which they handle queries and customizing the Professional Edition for me. I would definitely recommend that every professional agent in the industry should have CyberAgent."
