Dear reader,
Mobile gambling for South Africans is only two weeks away
and anti-gambling organisations fear it will make it easier for
compulsive gamblers to bet without being monitored. But that is
not where the fears ends this week.
There is much nervousness in South African property markets.
- Homeowners many of whom are geared to the hilt
are worried that the property market has run too
hard, and a market crash may be looming
- House prices increased by 19.2 percent year-on-year in
August 2005, the lowest year-on-year growth since February 2003,
according to Absa's monthly House Price Index
- Warren Ingram, Managing Director of The Wealth Corporation (Gauteng),
cautions that property is not his preferred asset class
for the time being, given that it looks overbought
With all the speculation about property bubbles it might
be useful to look at ways of valuing property. In this weeks
column by Dave Welmans - The Property Game hell
cover your home as an investment and why the valuing of this
property has to be different to the way you would value investment
property. By the way, have you purchased Dave's book? If
not do it now!
Some good property news - THE commercial property
market is experiencing a well-deserved revival that reflects the
economic growth and regeneration under way in SA, says Moreland
Property commercial and industrial director Mike Deighton.
Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa, as a tourist destination,

16 September is National Colour Day and no better reason
to paint your house. But before you go out and buy the paint put
the Colour Fantasizer to the test. Colour Fantasizer
has been designed to be functional and intuitive to allow the user
to experiment with ideas, colours and techniques without the hassle,
expense and associated costs of applying them in reality before
a decision is made - Have Fun

CyberProp greetings!
