Dear Reader
Would you sell your house for R1? What if its a burden
on you? Well Transnet was negotiating to sell the Blue Train
Prasa (Passenger Rail Agency of SA) for a whooping amount
of R1 after attempts to sell Transnets 100% shareholding
to a preferred bidder failed, this after forecasting that
the Blue Train will make a loss of R65m in the next financial
year. Sometimes we as homeowners also have to think twice
about holding onto that property that costs us month after
month.
Headlines: Lack of affordable housing is a major obstacle
to sustained demand in the housing sector and could lead to
the slowing of house price growth to single digits later this
year, a property group said on Wednesday. "Without growing
demand, price growth will decline," Harcourts Africa
property group said in a statement.
Market news: A look at industrial vacancy trends shows
that there is, as yet, no need for industrial property investors
to panic and make friends with their bankers, according to
Bellville-based Rode & Associates. Vacancies have been
showing a strong northward trend over the past few quarters
on the back of severe weaknesses in the industrial
property markets two support pillars, namely retail
sales and manufacturing activity. Nevertheless, current vacancy
levels are still more or less on a par with their 19-year
averages. Industrial investors shouldnt panic
Enjoy!
