Who or what is to blame for the increase in property prices in South Africa? The growing spending power of an emerging black middle class and the booming economy are both key factors pushing the property prices in South Africa - Real Estate in South Africa The community along the Garden Route is angry! This has led to the formation of Guardians of the Garden Route (Gog). Gog is a loose alliance of land activists, environmentalists and individuals who say they are not anti-development, but are anti-greed. Gog has protest marches planned for Knysna, George and Plettenberg Bay this coming Saturday - Garden route 'greed' angers residents Property prices in Camps Bay on the Atlantic seaboard is regarded by many agents as being overrated. Property prices in some of the prime areas of Cape Town have more than doubled in value in the past three years. One of South Africa's most beautiful coastal towns is situated on the Garden Route, Mosselbaai or Mossel Bay. Long known as a quaint little fishing village waking up only at the start of the 'season' - when just about everyone from the interior would converge on the seaside for Christmas and the New Year celebrations - Mosselbaai has now grown into an all year round friendly holiday haven.
