Getting assistance of an estate agent

Getting expert advice and assistance is advisable. How do you go about finding a reputable estate agent? You can ask friends or family for recommendations, or you can find out who the estate agents are who are working in your area/suburb by consulting your local newspaper or even by keeping your eyes open for signs.
