It is possible that Pretoria will not be renamed Tshwane, Arts and Culture Minister Pallo Jordan said in Cape Town on Thursday. He said he was still awaiting a recommendation in favour of the re-naming from the SA Geographical Names Council. "There is a possibility that I won't accept the advice by the council. As yet no recommendations have been given and what I know is what you know and read in the papers." Jordan was speaking after meeting a delegation from the Democratic Alliance, the Freedom Front Plus, the trade union Solidarity union and the Gauteng North Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI).
