The Home Channel gets Martha Stewart

She gave meaning to the phrase “how-to” in lifestyle programming. Her many ventures in the media have made her a household name in America and she became famous first for having built a business empire centred on the domestic arts, then for spending time in prison. Having paid her dues Martha Stewart is back on the world map, and in a first for South African television, she’s coming to The Home Channel (DStv 55) on May 5th 2006, with a series of From Martha’s Garden.

Nobody knows gardens like Martha Stewart. She inherited her passion for gardening from her father, who passed on all his knowledge to her as they worked together in the family’s backyard from the time she was four. There is something on everything involving gardens and landscaping, from seeds and bulbs to flowers and trees, from spring planting to winterising shrubs.
