Lowveld calling golfing and eco enthusiasts
Limited stands are on offer in Kingfisher Hill Golf and Country Estate on the banks of the Olifants River near Hoedspruit.

The development, about 27km out of town, is situated on 270ha of prime bushveld and offers 125 stands at prices ranging from R460 000, says Rose White of the local Aida office.

“Great care has been taken with the design of the estate and the 18-hole golf course to limit impact on the environment. Building plans are eco-friendly and homes will blend in with the surroundings – designs will, for instance, incorporate living grass roofs, which will aid in keeping interiors cool during the hot Limpopo summer months.

“Buyers can choose from stands on the banks of the river, from where they can listen to hippos grunting, or stands higher up on a hill, which affords panoramic views of the surrounding bush, river and Drakensberg range. Some stands have enormous Sycamore fig trees, which have been left undisturbed,” she says.

Small game such as impala and warthog roam the grounds.

Construction of the challenging golf course, designed by Robert Richardson, has started and all services are in place. Electricity cables have been laid underground to prevent visual pollution.

A show house has just been completed and White says the craftsmanship is impressive. “All work is of high quality and the home blends perfectly into the landscape.”

The entire estate will be secured and entry will be through an imposing gatehouse.
