Affordable housing for Springs
The latest phase of Eastwood Manor, an extensive full title development in Springs on the East Rand, brings 100 affordable units to the market.
Santa Blom of the local Aida office, who is marketing the development, says the 80sqm units are being marketed off-plan at R499 000 each and will help to meet an urgent need for affordable accommodation in Springs.
These homes represent very good value and the developer is also offering a R40 000 cash-back deal to buyers who buy off-plan.
Buyers can choose from four floor plans to suit their requirements. Blom says several permutations are possible, for instance two bedrooms and two full bathrooms or three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms.
Buyers can also choose from a range of fittings, all of which are top quality. Kitchens will for instance be fitted with stainless steel hobs while owners can specify cherrywood or oak-look units. All homes will also have a built-in braai and the complex will have security fences and access booms.
Eastwood Manor is situated in Daggafontein, an established, well-treed area about 2km from the Springs town centre and the developer, Theos Projects, has brought several similar developments to market in Pretoria and is currently also developing in Bronkhorstspruit, Brits and Krugersdorp.
Services are currently installed on the site and construction work is expected to start soon.
The development is aimed at investors and first-time buyers looking for a secure full-title home at an affordable price. Investors can expect to realise monthly rentals of about R3500. At the same time, the developer is offering a buy-back guarantee, says Blom
She adds that a new shopping complex is currently under construction nearby. This facility, with Checkers and Woolworths as anchor tenants, is expected to open in April.
