Units
in security estates in the Ruimsig area on the West Rand are in strong
demand and selling well.
The Chas Everitt International sales manager in the area, Estelle Marais,
says sales have picked up strongly in the past year on the back of several
new developments, and that with many estates now nearing completion,
sales have gained further momentum.
She says units in especially the Ruimsig Country Estates have mushroomed
over the past 12 months. This development is nearly complete and
resales are appearing in the market, while vacant stands are scarce,
she says.
Our dynamic team, consisting of Valma Cameron, Annie de Klerk
and Derek Salkeld, recorded solid sales over the recent holiday season
and are reporting sustained demand among upmarket buyers since then.
Home prices in Ruimsig Country Estate vary between R1m and R4m while
stands cost around R800 000. Marais says young professionals and top
businessmen make up the majority of buyers. They are attracted
by the secure lifestyle as well as the excellent design of the estate
and can afford property here, which may be beyond the reach of average
salary earners.
A further plus is that the estate, near the new casino, gives
easy access to the R28 highway, which means that residents dont
get snared in too much suburban traffic during rush hours.
Marais adds that brisk sales are also being recorded in Ruimsigs
Willowbrooke Estate and Pinehaven Estate. There is a good supply
of units we currently have more than a dozen on our books that
would suit a wide range of budgets and tastes, she says.
