The historic Vryburg area of the North West Province is the scene of a security estate development that breaks new ground for the local property market with wide appeal for buyers from retirees to young families.

Rosendal Country Estate, as the new project has been dubbed, is a venture by a partnership of active developers in the area with a number of successful projects to their credit.

“Security estates are still something of a novelty in this area and this no doubt accounts in part for the tremendous interest that’s been shown,” says Tiaan Pretorius of ERA Vryburg, which has the Rosendal mandate.

Vryburg, which lies in a rich cattle-farming area, has an interesting history that includes its own republic with an independent postal service and an independent stamp series. Today the area is an industrial and agricultural heartland of the Bophirima region.

Rosendal, which lies a few kilometres outside of Vryburg itself, caters for a discerning local community as well as outside investors with its choice of designs and pricing, adds Pretorius.

There are 265 stands available in two phases, of which 46 in the first phase have already been sold. In addition, 40 sectional title stands are allocated to a retirement village.

Prices for the first stands released start at R300 000 which Pretorius sees as being good value in any property market. Services will be delivered soon by the developers and the entire development will be enclosed in security walls with controlled access.

Building packages will be available according to approved guidelines which include a variety of architectural styles, and a management body will closely vet standards to protect values. Buyers need to put down a R10 000 deposit and the monies will be held in trust until registration takes place.
