100 children's spirits lifted through the RE/MAX Balloon Parties that
were recently held around the country in conjunction with Reach for A Dream
RE/MAX of Southern Africa recently hosted a series of Balloon Day parties
in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town for children from
Reach for A Dream.
Each occasion saw 25 Reach For A Dream children from the region and surrounding
areas treated to a day of fun that included goodie bags and delicious
eats and treats.
RE/MAX of Southern Africa has raised over R6,4-million for Reach For
A Dream since it first started supporting the charity six years ago. In
2009, despite tough trading conditions for those in the property arena,
RE/MAX of Southern Africa presented Reach For A Dream with a cheque of
R313 000, a donation that was made possible by contributions from Broker/Owners
and Sales Associates around the country.
Says Adrian Goslett, CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa: "It is exceptionally
rewarding to be involved in an initiative where you are able to experience
and participate in the joy of giving. Reach For A Dream is a rewarding
cause with which to partner, and RE/MAX of Southern Africa will continue
to pledge its support to bring a little enjoyment and entertainment into
these children's lives."
RE/MAX of Southern Africa has supported the Reach For A Dream Foundation
since 2004 and endeavors to continuously engage in activities that will
assist Reach For A Dream in their mission of fulfilling the dreams of
children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have been diagnosed as having
a life-threatening illness by a medical practitioner.
