Chas Everitt appoints national brand manager

The Chas Everitt International property group has announced the appointment of Cape Town real estate stalwart Andre de Villiers to the newly-created position of national brand manager.

This follows the creation of a national marketing committee made up of representatives from the group's various operating regions, which is intended to channel the considerable marketing knowledge and experience resident in the group.

"We have all this expertise," says group MD Berry Everitt, "and it just does not make sense to bring in outside consultants and managers who do not have the necessary real estate exposure. Accordingly we are delighted that Andre, with his great combination of talents and experience, has agreed to chair the committee and become the custodian of our brand."

De Villiers, who has been in the real estate industry for 25 years and also owns several Chas Everitt International franchises in the Western Cape, says his primary role will be to absorb and direct ideas from the committee, and to synthesize these with existing and new initiatives into a cohesive marketing package.

"It is essential that we reflect the corporate vision into an overall marketing plan. We have so much to offer but we must ensure that consumers don't view each marketing initiative in isolation but equate the multiple benefits of choosing our brand as a total package, " he says.

Secondly, De Villiers is to oversee the launch of several new marketing initiatives already in the pipeline including exploring new ways to showcase properties for sale in regions such as the Garden Route and KwaZulu-Natal to potential buyers in Gauteng and other inland provinces.
