It's
the start of a new decade, and there's a general air of great promise
in the coming year - for the economy, for South Africa as a nation and
for our property market. And then for us at Chas Everitt International,
there's the added excitement of a very important milestone this year -
the 30th anniversary of our establishment as a real estate group.
So we think 2010 is going to be really great, and to get the celebrations
off to a good start, I have just completed a tour of all our branches
countrywide to refine and reinforce our longstanding "first in service"
approach.
This has been a cornerstone of our company's operations since the beginning
and, I believe, is now more relevant than ever. Consumers have had a very
rough ride over the past two years and they rightly only want to do "safe"
business - with suppliers and service providers that they know to be trustworthy,
accountable and have proved that they will be around long-term.
Consequently, this is where our especial focus will be this year. Our
principals and agents are of course very well-trained and among the most
skilled in the real estate industry, but what I have asked them to do
now is concentrate on building personal relationships with our customers
and providing them with individually tailored services to make their property
buying or selling experience truly different and memorable for all the
right reasons.
What is more, I am personally so fired-up and committed to this vision
of the way things should be in our industry that I am making myself available
to any customer who thinks we're not delivering on our promises. (And,
of course, to anyone who thinks we're doing a great job!). I can be contacted
on berry@everitt.co.za
