In Rental demand set to rise in 2016 as home-buying declines, we read that with rising rates putting a strain on affordability and making it more difficult for prospective buyers to qualify for home loans, landlords can look forward to a rising rental demand in 2016.

It might be a good idea for a residential landlords currently renewing any leases to insist on a fresh credit check on their existing tenants or even asking them to top up their deposit before signing anything, according to Chas Everitt Property Rentals CEO, Greg Harris.
