South African property sector is worth an estimated R5.8-trillion, the Property Sector Charter Council has revealed. A study, compiled by provider of investment decision support tools firm MSCI on behalf of the council, provided a snapshot of the sector using figures from 2014/15. In order to ensure success and make the most out of a property purchase, buyers need to be well-informed, savvy and make the correct buying decisions from the start. According to Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, notes that decisions made during the purchasing process will have a massive bearing on the potential return on the buyer’s investment.
