Jan Davel, MD of the RealNet estate agency group, believes that the current property market represents some excellent opportunities for investors and that all indications are that there will be a resumption of stronger value growth in the market within the next two to three years. Property rates will be going up for many home owners in Cape Town as the local municipality recently released the latest valuation roll. What many of these owners might not realise though is that these valuations can be appealed against. This can be done by filling in and submitting the prescribed form (this is often delivered along with the valuation) as well as any contributing evidence.
