Although foreign interest in SA is still strong, it is no longer coming predominantly from the UK and Western Europe. We are seeing a rapid increase in the number of prospective buyers from elsewhere in Africa, from some of SA’s partners in the BRICs grouping, namely India and China, and from other countries in the Far East. According to a recent US study, green building is making strong headway in South Africa as environmental concerns are becoming an increasingly integrated concept in the South African property market. Read more in Green building in SA highest of 13 countries surveyed

High density housing solutions like apartment blocks or townhouse complexes have become increasingly popular in South Africa. According to Wendy Williams, Sales Director of Engel & Völkers South Africa, that although the living spaces may be small, there are ways to make them appear and feel larger and more comfortable.
