According to Berry Everitt, CEO of the Chas Everitt International property group, Donald Trump’s surprise victory in the US presidential election is expected to have a mildly positive effect on the SA property market in the short to medium term. While the market for  luxury property properties, especially in the Western Cape, is still strong, the length of time properties spend on the market has risen according to Lew Geffen, Chairman of Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty. He says that the one rule that applies when selling is that the property needs to be priced correctly for its market in order to sell.
