International investment in South African property is popular and ever increasing due to various factors. Not only does the weak rand make property inexpensive, but a 2016 report by GoBankingRates has named South Africa as the cheapest country in the world in which to live and retire. According to Berry Everitt, CEO of the Chas Everitt International property group, every estate agent has at least one tale of a potential sale that was ruined by a keen seller who said just the wrong thing at a critical point. He shares a list of 10 things with us that you should really never mention in 10 things you should NOT say to a buyer.

When thinking of alterations to a home it’s always good to keep the eventual resale value of the property in mind. Bruce Swain, MD of Leapfrog Property Group, says in Home Renovations that Make You Money that agents are reporting that home owners are doing renovations, not only for their own comfort, but with the specific aim of increasing their sales prices.
