Our Constitution makes specific reference to the right to privacy and includes everyone’s personal information within that right. Essentially PoPI is meant to promote transparency in terms of how personal information (like your address, medical data, employment history and more) is collected, processed and archived. Real estate agents routinely handle personal information such as copies of buyer’s and seller’s identification documents, their tax numbers, bond account numbers etc and the Act will dramatically change how this information is managed and stored read more in PoPI to change real estate

It seems like the the draw of the Cape is too strong to resist with many Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal buyers flocking to the Cape. Up to 40 percent of the buyers on the Cape Town Atlantic seaboard in the high selling season, are from Gauteng. There now seems to be a new category of buyers – which many people are calling the “Sandwich Generation” because they have parents and children living in the same home. Pooling resources can help bring down the cost of overall home ownership and also help the younger families to save, assisting the older family by allowing them to spend less of their retirement savings and keeping their standard of living at the level they’re used to.
