With the long weekend just around the corner we would like to take this opportunity to wish all out readers a happy Easter and to those going away for a few days, a save journey.

According to John Loos’ February 2015 FNB Property Barometer report on the February House Price Index, a 6% year on year increase in residential property is indicated whereas the figures in January indicated a 6,3% year on year increase. There is an anomaly where many are expecting rapid price increases due to the dire shortage of stock in many areas but value rises have been slow due to other economic constraints. In this week's Focus On, we take a closer look at what is happening in the friendly city's property market. According to Charlotte Vermaak, principal of the Chas Everitt International franchise in Nelson Mandela Bay, there are several large commercial and industrial investments in the pipeline which are expected to bring about a significant increase in employment in the area.
